How is the procedure done?
Photofacial involves the following steps
You are comfortably seated on a reclining chair in the procedure room.
Exfoliation by microdermabrasion
Gentle exfoliation of the upper most dead layer of the skin is done using
diamond tip microdermabrasion.
Depending on your skin type, massage product is selected. A facial
massage with systematic gentle and firm strokes is done to hydrate the
skin and relax the muscles.
Protective eye wear is worn by the client and the provider.
A cool transparent gel is applied on full face. This helps to improve the
contact of the IPL machine hand piece with the skin along with cooling
and protecting the epidermis.
IPL shots are fired. These feel as short bursts of intense light with a little
warmth. IPL shots are given systematically over the entire face.
The gel is cleared off the face.
Face is wiped with a moist cotton pad.
A hydrating mask is applied to soothe the skin.
Face is cleaned after 15 minutes and sunscreen is applied.

What should I expect during my recovery period?
There is no down time associated with the photo facial treatment. There is
absolutely no redness or swelling. You can resume your work immediately
after the treatment. However, strict sun protection by using a broad spectrum
sunscreen is recommended. You may start to use your routine night creams 2
days after the procedure.
